Welcome to Year 4!

We believe in having a fun environment to learn in, where we start and finish the day with a smile.

We respect each other, help each other and learn together.

We travel together on a journey of learning, we love to travel the world in our minds as we discover the past and look at the future.

Our class is a place for laughter and friendly faces, where we welcome everyone.

Mrs Savory and Mrs Walker

What are we learning this year?

We have 3 very exciting topics this year.

Where would we be without the Romans? This topic has started with a bang thanks to our Roman day. The children will be learning all about the Romans from everyday life to life as a Roman solider. We look at where the Romans came from and what happened when they invaded Britain.

Why were the Egyptians so special? The children will be finding out all about the Egyptians and what it was like to be an Egyptian. They will also have the opportunity to bake their own bread.

All at sea! The children will have the opportunity to find out what life was like at sea as well as carrying out a field work study at a local seaside town.

A visit from the Romans

Our topic this term is The Romans.

As part of this topic the children took part in a Roman day. There were various activties which included making laurel wreaths, building an aquaduct, Roman dancing and most importantly dressing up as Roman soldiers or ladies.

The children had a fantastic day!

Have a look at our curriculum overview to see what we are doing this term.
