Special Educational Needs Information Report

For Parents and Carers 2016- 2017

Welcome to our SEN information report page which is part of the Cheshire West and Chester ‘Local Offer’ for Learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including those who are disabled. All Cheshire West and Chester Local Authority (LA) maintained schools have a similar approach to meeting the needs of pupils with SEN and are supported by the LA to ensure that all pupils, regardless of their specific needs, make the best possible progress in school. Schools are supported to be as inclusive as possible, with the needs of pupils with SEN being met in a mainstream setting wherever possible.

What is the Local Offer?

As part of the Children and Families Act 2014, Local Authorities are required to publish a ‘Local Offer’ which sets out information about the provision available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area, who have special educational needs (SEN) including those who are disabled. Cheshire West and Chester’s local offer can be accessed through the link below:

The document below outlines our School Offer and the information required as cited in the SEN Information Regulations, Clause 65 of the Children and Families Act 2014. It will be reviewed annually.

We are committed to working together to shape and develop provision for all our learners ensuring achievement for all. We value all members of our school community and would welcome feedback and future involvement in the review of our offer from anyone involved in our school, so please do contact us. The best people to contact this year are:

Inclusion Manager/SENCo – Mrs. Gemma Rogerson

Head teacher – Mrs. Hazel Palmer

SEN Governor – Mrs. Ann Clarkson
