Digital Leaders

Our Digital Leaders are a team of enthusiastic, responsible and knowledgeable pupils from Years 5 and 6 who are passionate about technology and helping others to use it safely, confidently and creatively.

At the beginning of each school year, pupils who would like to become a Digital Leader put themselves forward for the role. Their classmates then vote to elect their class representative, giving children the opportunity to experience the democratic process and the importance of pupil voice.

Being a Digital Leader is an important responsibility. Working alongside staff, Digital Leaders help to support the use of technology throughout the school. They assist with  looking after digital equipment, help staff and pupils during lessons and events, and support the smooth running of technology across the school.

Our Digital Leaders are also ambassadors for online safety. They help to raise awareness by sharing important messages with classes, contributing to assemblies, creating displays and supporting national events such as Safer Internet Day. They also help communicate key online safety advice and digital learning updates with parents and carers through newsletters and other school communications.

Throughout the year, Digital Leaders take an active role in promoting technology across the school. They help organise and support digital competitions, celebrate pupils’ achievements, encourage the use of educational technology and inspire younger children to develop their digital skills and confidence.

As positive role models, Digital Leaders demonstrate responsible, respectful and safe use of technology at all times. They develop valuable skills including leadership, communication, teamwork, organisation and problem-solving, while making a meaningful contribution to school life.

We are incredibly proud of our Digital Leaders and the enthusiasm, commitment and support they provide. Their work helps to create a positive digital culture where technology enhances learning, encourages creativity and prepares all of our pupils for life in an increasingly digital world.
