Wellbeing Warriors
Our Wellbeing Warriors are a dedicated team of caring, compassionate and enthusiastic pupils from KS2, who are committed to promoting positive wellbeing throughout our school community. They work alongside staff to help create a happy, supportive and inclusive environment where everyone feels safe, valued and respected.
Each year, children are given the opportunity to put themselves forward for the role, with class representatives being chosen through a democratic vote by their classmates. This ensures that every Wellbeing Warrior is trusted to represent the voice of their class and contribute to making our school an even better place to learn and grow.
The role of a Wellbeing Warrior is to encourage positive wellbeing for both pupils and staff. They listen to the ideas and views of their classmates, help identify ways to improve wellbeing across the school and work together to promote kindness, inclusion and respect. They understand that small acts of kindness can make a big difference and strive to ensure that everyone feels cared for and valued.
Throughout the year, our Wellbeing Warriors help to organise and support a range of wellbeing initiatives and events. These may include promoting positive mental health, celebrating national awareness days, organising acts of kindness, encouraging active lifestyles and helping to create calm, welcoming spaces around the school. They also share important wellbeing messages with classes, contribute to assemblies and support school campaigns that encourage everyone to look after themselves and each other.
Our Wellbeing Warriors are positive role models who demonstrate empathy, resilience and respect in everything they do. They help foster a culture where children feel confident to talk about their feelings, celebrate one another’s achievements and support friends when they need encouragement.
Being a Wellbeing Warrior helps pupils develop valuable leadership skills, including communication, teamwork, organisation and empathy, while making a meaningful contribution to school life.
