PSCHE

At Grange Community Nursery and Primary School, our PSCHE (Personal, Social, Citizenship and Health Education) programme of study is advocated daily.  Our curriculum is aspirational and teaches children to understand their own feelings and their physical and mental well-being.  Children also learn about relationships, tolerance, friendships, diversity, shared responsibilities, and the changes they will go through in their primary years. The aim of our PSCHE curriculum is to permit children, from Nursery through to Year 6, to explore a variety of topics in a safe and informative environment.

We hope to teach children to be proud of who they are while recognising and celebrating differences and diversity. We endeavour to consistently have a positive school ethos where everybody feels they belong regardless of their differences. We also hope that all of our children will develop resilience, determination and drive.

The curriculum is underpinned by the No Outsiders programme, which is designed to give children the knowledge and understanding to live in our richly diverse world.  High-quality age-appropriate texts are used to promote inclusive education and community cohesion, preparing our children for life in modern Britain.

Additionally, at Grange Community Nursery and Primary School, we hold regular school assemblies.  We have a School Council, E-Cadets, Road Safety Officers and Eco-Councillors who help to have a positive influence on the day-to-day running of Grange Community Nursery and Primary School.
